shuffle will shuffle off along with nanno version of IPod

Apple has chosen to ax the nanno and the shuffle from the IPod store. They will no longer sell them.
Late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs introduced the devices some 12 years ago with his legendary showmanship flare, and the small, easy to operate players helped the company revolutionize how music was sold.
“Today, we are simplifying our iPod lineup with two models of iPod touch now with double the capacity starting at just $199 and we are discontinuing the iPod shuffle and iPod nano,” the company said in an email.
Honestly, it isn’t a shock. Why buy an IPod which can only do one thing – play music – whereas the IPhone can do that one thing and a billion more?
All we need do is look at the time line. The first IPod came out in 2001 and honestly, The trend toward streaming music services, including the launch of one by Apple, has made devices designed just for carrying digital tunes around less enticing for consumers. EG, boring!
