‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ sweeps London’s Olivier Awards. – 9 awards not to shabby

The Olivier Awards are the UK’s equivalent to the US’s Toney Awards.
Today we can declare that Harry Potter cast a spell over the stage as well as the book, and cilver screen.
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child was named Best New Play and earned eight other prizes. These included set design, costumes, lighting and sound. John Tiffany won for Best Director, Jamie Parker for Best Actor, Noma Dumezweni for Best Supporting Actress and Anthony Boyle for Best Supporting Actor in a Play. Awesome!
