You be the judge. #freedumofthepress a quick look at the first amendment

Earlier the White House told media outlets such as CNN and Buzzfeed that they were not aloud into the press briefing. Does this mean that by banning them the White House is going against the first amendment? You be the judge.
Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
The key word that I want to focus on isabridging.According to the dictionary to abridge something is 1. shorten (a book, movie, speech, or other text) without losing the sense. 2. curtail (rights or privileges).
So, you be the judge is the White House curtailing or rather – reduce in extent or quantity; impose a restriction on – the Press? It is not my place to say but i would like to here your views.
