Flynn resigns in controversy over Russian contacts

Mr. Flynn had a bad week. Now we have some breaking news. President Donald Trump’s national security adviser, Michael Flynn, resigned on Monday night in the midst of a raging controversy about his contacts with Russian officials before Trump took office, Reuters reports.
This all started when President Obama put sanctions on Russia for getting involved in the United States election process. He kicked out thirty diplomats and Russia didn’t respond. This was odd enough to make the intelligence community start digging. They found a phone call between Mr. Flynn and someone in the russian government. That led to tonight. Retired General Keith Kellogg, who has been the chief of staff at the National Security Council, has been named acting national security adviser.
