the major points from Roger Goodell’s State of the League Address

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell held his State of the League address today (January 31, 2014) here are some of his points. He said that he would not be against adding more teams to the playoffs.
He believes it will make for more meaningful games later in the season, keeping fans engaged.
The league’s competition committee is expected to look into the issue this offseason. Each conference would add one playoff team, bringing the total from 12 to 14.
Another point he made was that the Redskins name honors Native Americans. He said that he has spoken to Native American groups and he feels that the name does not insult the group in any way. Asked if the term was appropriate to refer to a Native American, Goodell said, “This is the name of a football team.” He said that London is farther along then first thought.
Goodell’s dream is to have a full time NFL team in London sooner than to have one in LA. He is happy to declare that the three games that the league scheduled for London have already sold out. He said he is not quite sure where the Nfl is going in London but they will still invest. could their be a change to replay?
This idea sounds like what the mlb is doing with their replay sistum. One idea that the NFL may ponder is will the officials in NYC aid the refs on disputed calls?
wanted to go to a playoff game but their were no more tickets? Goodell has an answer for that. He says the league should not have been in the position of playoff games having trouble selling out.
The Indianapolis Colts, Cincinnati Bengals and Green Bay Packers all had problems. Each team was given extensions to sell out their home games, and in each case, corporations had to step up to buy blocks of the remaining tickets. Meijer in Indianapolis, Associated Bank in Green Bay and P&G in Cincinnati all purchased the ticket and many were distributed to military families and veterans. Nfl concussion settlement will be approved this according to mr. goodell.
His last major point was that the settlement between the NFL and players will go through. A federal judge has slowed down the proposed $765 million settlement, questioning if there’s enough money to cover 20,000 retired players.
Goodell said at his annual pre-Super Bowl news conference Friday that the “settlement we reached can provide the kind of benefits intended, and I’m confident we’ll get there.
U.S. District Judge Anita B. Brody denied preliminary approval of the plan Jan. 14 because she’s worried the money could run out sooner than expected.

teacher shows porn to fifth graders

It should be said that it was a mistake.
ANSA reported the fifth-grade teacher at a Catholic school in Vicenza, Italy borrowed a USB drive from a parent to show her class music videos from the 1980s, but when she inserted the drive into her classroom’s digital blackboard it displayed a few seconds of pornographic images. The school principal apologized for the incident, saying it was unintentional and the teacher had not checked the USB drive after borrowing it from the parent. smile leads to fight

A Pa man has been arrested for punching his wife in the mouth over the word smile. Now we don’t know who started this riveting debate but we do know how it all ended.
The husband (54) and wife (43) were pondering this very confusing question when they got into a fight. The wife punched her man in the mouth. The sun (17) and another child (age not given) charged in to stop this word smackdown. For all their efforts the 17-year-old sun was punched in the face by his father, who then punched his wife in the face.
He was arrested for assault, all of this could have been forgiven if they used that book called a dictionary. Or, if you do not have that book their is a website known as URL below.
